To potential expectant parents who are considering adoption:
Hi! We’re Landon and Meredith. We’re excited for you to get to know a little bit about our family. We believe Jesus has been leading us toward adoption since we first were married. We were able to start our family with two biological children but feel God is wanting us to now grow our family through adoption. Our home is a stable one full of unconditional love and support. We are thrilled to become adoptive parents and our two children are excited to welcome another sibling into our home.
More than anything, we want you to know that we will love the child we adopt unconditionally and will dedicate our lives to providing them with love and security. We want the child we adopt to know where he or she came from. If we are chosen, you will always be an integral part of their life. We plan to raise our child with an understanding, appreciation, and love for you and the sacrifice you are making for them. This child will be so loved by us, our families, and our friends. Thank you for considering us!
Who we are as a family:
We are a family that loves spending time together. We enjoy exploring parks and new places we’ve never been to around the Twin Cities, and we’re always hoping to find an ice cream shop along the way. Some of Landon’s family lives in Georgia, so we love to travel there often to explore and see them. Movie nights, bike rides, home projects and bonfires at our NW suburb home are other things we enjoy doing together. Our church family is a huge part of our lives. We lead a small group in our home each week, and we have met some of our best friends through our church. These friends are like family. We get together often to enjoy meals and each other’s company.
Landon is an Account Executive for a company here in the Twin Cities. His schedule is flexible and works from home most days. His hobbies include golfing, woodworking, and watching sports. He always has a house project going and makes our house feel more like home. Landon is the more adventurous and spontaneous half of the marriage and keeps us on our toes and active. Meredith was a dental hygienist before becoming a stay at home mom. She also works part time from home as the Finance Coordinator for our church and as a virtual assistant. This year she also started homeschooling our oldest. Meredith’s hobbies are reading, going on walks, and playing cards. She is the glue that keeps our family together. She stays on top of all of our family’s needs and makes sure everyone around her feels loved as well.
Rylie is 5 and loves to serve others and give gifts. She is learning how to play the piano and soccer. She always has a craft or project she is constructing, usually with glitter. Rylie keeps us laughing and brings a lot of joy to our family. She loves to go on adventures, ride her bike, and play with friends. Elliot is 2 and is one of the funniest toddlers we know. He loves to make people laugh and also has a sensitive side to him. He loves to play outside, throw balls, and golf with dad.
Our views on openness in adoption:
One of the reasons we chose to adopt with New Life was because of their desire for openness in adoption. We are genuinely excited about the idea of openness, although we are not naive. We know it may be complicated or even difficult at times, yet we believe it to be worth it for all of us. We want to learn about the culture, family traditions, and heritage of the birth family to be able to carry those on in their life. The more people who love our child the better.
