To potential expectant parents who are considering adoption:
Dear expectant parent:
We are Jadian & Cinda. We believe all children are God’s children and He has a perfect plan for all. Although we cannot imagine the range of emotions that you must be feeling as you navigate the consideration of adoption, we know that God loves you and we have such a prayer in our hearts that He will guide you on every step of your journey.
We have witnessed that God has worked in beautiful and miraculous ways through adoption. Cinda’s mom, two uncles and one aunt were adopted from Korea when they were small children. She also has two brother in laws that were adopted and we have friends and acquaintances through church that have adopted. We are excited to see if it is part of God’s plan to parent one of His children through adoption.
Who we are as a family:
Jadian is co-owner of a small business consulting company. He works from home and thoroughly enjoys the challenge of working with individual small business owners. He has a passion for life and wakes up every morning with a radiant smile and an abundance of energy. He cannot wait to see what the day brings and what he can accomplish. He thrives on being productive and meeting his goals. His natural gifts are staying organized, pushing people to do things they didn’t think they could do and always seeing the positive in every situation. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. His hobbies are anything outdoors: riding four-wheeler, exploring in his track chair, plowing snow, mowing lawn and flying remote control airplanes. When our nieces and nephews come over, he is the entertainer. He has so much love and patience with them and he loves to teach kids.
Cinda is a Registered Nurse at a hospital surgery center and has a genuine compassion to take care of her patients. She truly has the heart to care for people whether she is at work or at home. She has a fascination with people and all their different personalities. She is content and easy going. She stays busy being a nurse, wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She comes from a large family with lots of nieces & nephews and thoroughly enjoys spending time with them. On her days off work, she looks forward to a morning cup of coffee with Jadian and getting caught up with household chores. Her hobbies are going on walks, spending time outside, shopping, reading cookbooks, cooking, cleaning, keeping the house a home and planning/hosting family gatherings.
Our views on openness in adoption:
Before we began working with New Life Adoptions, we had very little knowledge or understanding of openness. Through lots of education and prayer, we have opened our hearts to openness in adoption. We have learned how impactful openness can be for the child’s development and sense of identity to know their birth story and birth families. We are open to communication through text, calls, and in person visits. We know every situation has different circumstances and our prayer is that we could come to a mutual level of openness that feels comfortable and respectful for everyone involved. We also understand that it may change and evolve over time.
