Hi, there! Thank you so much for taking the time to meet us through this online profile. We feel so honored that you’d like to get to know us as a couple. Through these words and pictures, we hope we can give you a good idea as to who we are and a peek into our daily lives.
We are so excited about the prospect of growing our family through adoption! They will be our first child, and we can’t wait to experience all that comes with being parents. Our desire is to create a safe and caring home for our baby. They will be showered with lots of love, devotion, and encouragement. I, Laura, plan to stay home with our baby once they arrive. I look forward to spending my days supporting their well-being and seeing them grow into the little individual they are. We promise to do our best to make sure our child knows they are unconditionally loved and valued.

Who we are as a family:
Laura:
When I asked my friends for words to describe my personality, these are the three words that they used most often: compassionate, warm, and thoughtful. I knew I wanted to adopt domestically after working with children in a homeless shelter and fell in love with making sure each child knows their worth. I currently work as a personal stylist and love everything fashion. When I’m not working I enjoy reading and baking. I danced all the way through college and love any chance I have to get on the dance floor.
Trevor:
I am pretty much the epitome of the strong silent type. I’ve been called meek, patient, and likable by my friends and family. I first got excited about adoption while reading the bible, specifically Galatians 4. The truth that God chooses us to be a permanent part of his family despite our flaws is such a perfect metaphor for adoption. I’ve been a Web Developer for 8ish years and have been working from home with Laura since March of 2020. I’ve always enjoyed being active and have played baseball/softball and skied for as long as I can remember. I also enjoy collecting/designing LEGOs and have recently made a hobby of running.
Additionally, we love to spend time together! Since we both work from home, we often each lunch with each other over our breaks and take a walk after we are finished for the day. On the weekends we love to catch a movie or find a yummy restaurant to try out.
Our views on openness in adoption:
We chose New Life because we liked their open adoption model. We hope to work with you to find a plan that honors the needs of every party involved, especially the child. That could look like pictures, emails, texts, and/or in person visits. We’d love to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions together, depending on your level of comfort. We are open to meeting with birth parents before the baby is born if that is something that you desire.
