Openness Seminar

All families are required to attend this seminar. At the Openness Seminar you will receive an educational packet full of information about open adoption; what is open adoption, levels of openness, what openness is not, history behind openness, professional research on openness, specific New Life research on openness, the benefits and challenges associated with openness, keys to a successful open adoption and the roles people have in open adoption. The adoption  staff members will walk through this educational packet with you, highlighting everything and going into depths on a few key items. A panel of birth parents will also share their adoption stories with you, highlighting their openness perspective and relationship with their birth children’s adoptive families. We allow for time to ask them the questions that have been weighing on your mind. Both husband and wife are required to attend this seminar while in the adoption study process.
