To potential expectant parents who are considering adoption:
Hello! We understand that considering adoption is an incredibly profound and personal decision, and we truly admire the courage it takes to explore this path. Your love for your child is clear, and we want you to know that we hold deep respect for you and your journey.
As you read a bit about us, we hope you’ll see the warmth, joy, and love we wish to share with a child. Each photo captures moments of our life, filled with laughter, adventure, and a strong sense of family. We dream of welcoming a little one into our home, creating memories, and nurturing their growth and happiness.
We are committed to providing a safe, loving, and supportive environment where a child can thrive. We envision a life filled with experiences, whether it’s exploring the outdoors, celebrating traditions, or simply enjoying quiet moments together. Our hearts are open, and we are excited about the possibility of sharing our lives with a child.
Who we are as a family:
Currently, our house is filled with 3 hearts; us and our dog Piper! Phillip works as a system administrator (IT) at a medical device manufacturing & engineering company. Bethany works as a kids and youth director at a local church. We love to be involved with our church particularly with worship, kids and youth ministries. During our weekends and evenings, we enjoy quiet nights at home, going for hikes or walks (though we have to be careful with that word around here, as Piper REALLY loves to go for a walk and gets very excited), hanging with friends or trying out new foods. Over the last few years we have found our greatest joys in the simple things, and quality time with the people we love.
Phillip loves to tinker with computers or other electronic devices, play guitar, write a story or poem, go for a hike, build something new in his woodworking shop, and read a book on a misty morning with a hot cup of coffee.
Bethany loves to dance & choreograph, spend time with friends & chosen family, travel to new places, enjoy theatre (both acting and watching), snuggle Piper (our dog) & watch a good movie, create art for her side-business, enjoy a good meal, and work on house projects to bring style to our home.
In our photos you will see the many people who are a part of our family, both biological and chosen. We are so thankful to share life with these humans!
Our views on openness in adoption:
We believe that openness is a gift for all members of the adoption triad and is most important for the child. It is our desire to do as much as we can to maintain openness so that our child can receive the gift of knowing all members of their family. However, we do recognize that birth family members may desire varying degrees of openness. Therefore, we are open to what openness can and could look like with our child’s birth family including extended family members (Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc.). We are open to sending photos and updates, phone calls and texting, and face-to-face visits & outings.
We are open to meeting expectant parents before their child’s birth, being present at the hospital, and bringing baby home from the hospital.
